In case you haven’t heard yet, Canadian singer Drake set out an example for singers and celebrities to give back to the community.
In mid-February, Drake donated almost one million dollars, as part of his “God’s Plan” video release. The video showcases his interactions with the people of Miami, and those who received his donations.
The budget for the video, which he donated, was $996,632.90, according to the clip opening.
According to the Miami Herald, Drake gave a $50K check to University of Miami student Destiny James, and $25K to Miami Senior High-School.
He also passed by the Sabor Tropical supermarket in North Beach, to pay for everyone’s groceries, the Herald reported.
In an Instagram post, Drake wrote: “[This is] the most important thing I have ever done in my career”.
